I know this summer hasn't, so far, been the warmest of summers. But isn't is strange how we are still infested with those annoying little insect creatures that fly over every year in swarms.
They're a funny little thing. Some of them have bright yellow bag-like things hanging from them, some have red. They amass in their what seems like hundreds, thousands in Dublin. They make a loud ni-ni-ni-ni-ni-ni noise and lie about in the oddest of places like on the middle of the road, on the middle of the street, blocking pedestrians and traffic alike.
They're rude, noisy and a down right pain in the ass, and they should be their parents problem, but they're not, they are ours!
Guessed who I'm talking about yet? YEAH, the Spanish STUDENTS! I know they've been around for a few weeks now, but I just forgot to rant about them!
Why do their rich parents send them over here? Is it revenge for the English yobs breaking up their country? Is it because we didn't give them any points in the Eurovision? They say they send them over here to "learn English"! Well, sent them to f@cking ENGLAND so! I know they probably can't differentiate, between us and the brits, someone should tell them.
I'm not saying this for racist reasons, by the way, because racism is a scourge, but they are so bloody annoying and intrusive and well they just stand there in your way when your just trying to walk down the street!

Re: Our city is in infested!!! (Score: 1) by studal on Wednesday, July 28 @ 02:27:58 PDT (User Info | Send a Message) | | I HATE THEM. I HATE THEM. I HATE THEM. I HATE THEM. The real reason I recon that their parents send them away is because they are so anoying that they dont want their summer ruined.. Another point I want to raise is, as a shop owner in not perhaps the worst part of Dublin I still have to be quite vigilant when certain people come in but the worst of them can be ignored compared to when the Spanish students come in..You have to watch them like a hawk. I own a cd shop and because they are massive into burning discs they rob the sleaves and boxes which is just the most infuriating thing for me left with discs without boxes. So each day for July and august I simply get them out much to the delight of my regular customers as I am not adverse to shouting and screaming if I have to and everybody loves DRAMA... |

Re: Our city is in infested!!! (Score: 1) by Mental-patient on Monday, August 02 @ 10:42:04 PDT (User Info | Send a Message) | The reason why they are sent to Ireland is because it is well known internationly that the Irish are nice friendly people who welcome people into their homes even if there is a nice profit in it at the end of the day.I myself have taken in French stutents and they were no problem and the money we earned got us out of a hole.We had Spanish for a few days doing somebody a favour. They were a bit noisey alright but we didnt have them long. They were four lads and all they wanted to do was play football.I believe the girls are a bit more trouble.
There is one thing though ,if we are so nice to them here why cant the spanish be nice to us when we go on holiday to Spain?? |

Re: Our city is in infested!!! (Score: 1) by theblondewan on Wednesday, July 06 @ 06:20:06 PDT (User Info | Send a Message) | | I can totally agree with ya there. I have nothing against spanish people in general but I cannot stand those swarms of spanish students that come over every year. Yes, they do invade our little town every year, not letting people through to do their Saturday shopping, they are loud, very annoying and my god, they are so rude. But again, if it was italians or french or germans, I would say the same thing. Its nothing I have against spanish. |
