Rantings

Lately I have been receiving quite a few e-mails from people who are objecting to the content on this forum. There has also been a lot said in various other forums. I've been accused of being a participant in "incitement to hatred" because I haven't deleted the numerous comments made regarding race, sexual preference, and so on!

I can fully understand where people would have an objection to these comments and they are right to complain. I have in fact over the last few days deleted and blocked certain threads, which I might as well say, it really pained me to do so! I did this purely because under Irish law, I can actually be prosecuted!

But this is my question, if there is anyone out there who know anything about the law, I'm not asking anyone who THINKS they know the law, I'm asking if there is anyone who has the actual facts about any legislation regarding the freedom of speech in this country. Surely the PROHIBITION OF INCITEMENT TO HATRED ACT, 1989 undermines any freedom of speech legislation, does any in fact exist?

When are people going to understand that everyone has an opinion and everyone has the right to share it, no matter how stupid it is!
