Lads, what the fuck is the story with people putting up their Christmas lights in November???
If you haven't seen any, and you're from the city, it doesn't really surprise me, because to be honest, there isn't that many, but I'm on the road most of the day and there are quite a few in country areas. I know a lot of you out there will probably say it's none of my business of I'm just being a scrooge or whatever, but I happen to think it is my business. If it wasn't my business, people shouldn't have the decorations on the outside for all to see. People think they "look pretty" of think other people like to see them. In actual fact, in my opinion anyway, they just look downright tacky!
Don't get me wrong, I like seeing them tastefully done and when it's closer to Christmas, but when they're totally in your face in fucking November, pisses me off, it's bad enough when we have to listen to CRAPPY Christmas songs in every shop you walk into, without seeing it when you look out your window.
And another thing, in this age of conservation, do none of these show-offs consider the amount of energy they're wasting every night, just so they might get a mention on WLR on Christmas eve or a picture of their monstrosity in the Waterford Today?
One more petty thing, like all of above I suppose but what the fuck do The Simpson's have to do with Christmas?
